Beginners' Painting and Blending Class

Bring a small piece of furniture from home and learn all the tips and tricks needed to completely transform it during this four hour course. By the end of the class, you will have a beautifully refinished piece of furniture, plus the knowledge to paint and upcycle more pieces in your home! This class will cover painting with Wise Owl Chalk Synthesis paint, blending your chosen color with white to create a highlighted and dimensional look, and protecting your work with Furniture Salve.
After registering for the class, please keep an eye out for an email from me! We will discuss the piece of furniture you plan to bring and the prep work that needs to be completed before class. You will also have a one on one color consultation where you will finalize your color choice at least one week before the class. (If you register within one week of the class date, you will be able to choose one of the limited colors available during the course or have the option to purchase a pint of paint in any of the Wise Owl colors and take any remaining product home with you to use on future projects!)The piece of furniture you bring to class must be small enough to be carried without assistance, preferably no larger than an end table, night stand, or dining chair. If you do not have a piece of furniture that fits these requirements, you can click the "add on" when registering and I will provide a small table for you to paint and take home! Cocktails and snacks will be provided during the class. You will also have a break while we wait for your paint to dry, during which you are free to shop from the amazing merchants in the store! Sunday, July 14; 12-4 p.m.$95 per adult

The Lost Art of a Handwritten Letter

t wasn't but a few hundred years ago that a handwritten letter was something more than just a few words put to paper. It was an experience, a time of the day dedicated to thinking about someone. From official business to writing sweet words to a suitor, letters held a symbolism that in our modern day is hard to match.
Wouldn't it be nice to take a moment in your day to slow down and put simple thoughts to paper? Perhaps there is a long overdue thank you note you need to write or could you be so vulnerable as to write a love letter? Is there someone that needs to hear your words expressed on a letter only for it to be secretly cherished, kept in a sacred space and knowing it will be read in 50 years to a great-great-grandchild?
We have created an experience for the sentimental writers that still remain. Nibble on sugar cookies and coffee while honoring that part in you that longs for connection. Delight in the writing pleasures of calligraphy pens, beautiful stamps, and many other whimsy writing instruments.
Includes sugar cookies, coffee, and set of 10 personalized, laser engraved note cards from Krems Studios (beautiful stamps provided).
Saturday, August 17; 10-11 a.m.$35 per adult; $35 per adult
