Now that the temperatures are starting to drop in the evening and the kids and my teacher husband are back in school, I’m beginning to long for fall. Adding in relevant seasonal decor can be easy if you already have a plan in mind – but if not, it can be downright frustrating! I reached out to Pat from Wild Petals, our resident lover of all things fall, to give us all a few easy tips to spruce up your home with pops of the season to sprinkle into your living space. Here is what she had to say:

It doesn’t take much to transition your home in the early stages of Fall. Start by simply placing a Fall wreath on your front door as it will give your home beautiful curbside appeal as well as a warm welcome for your guests.

Switching out your everyday candles to warm rich colors of Fall, such as rust gold or green, and tucking a few faux Fall leaves and orange berries like bittersweet around your candle sticks/holders will bring a lovely touch of Autumn into your home.

Fill a beautiful bowl with pinecones, leaves, acorns, berries, dried oranges and apples and you will have yourself a simple yet beautiful Autumn centerpiece for your kitchen or dining room table.

A lovely fall floral arrangement or a wonderful rustic vase filled with a handful of sunflowers, real or faux, is an easy way to transition into Fall.

And don’t forget the comforting aroma of pumpkin spice and cinnamon sprinkled around your home radiating from potpourri, candles, or pine cones as you are sure to delight all your senses and your home will say “Fall is here!”
