Tiny Planet Ink

Dan Jackson

Tiny Planet Ink was officially founded in 2013 in the cramped basement of my Denver home.  The idea of having a print shop started much earlier when I was an art student in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  This is where I began my exploration with printmaking and the application of ink onto a variety of surfaces.  I started small, first with shirts and posters for local musicians.  Then I decided to focus on how to make printing a bigger part of my future.

After moving back to Denver in 2012, I teamed up with my good friend and fellow artist Devin Sena, and together we began conceptualizing what we needed to do to create a successful printing business.  As we gained momentum, in the Spring of 2014, we were able to move from the crowded basement to a new work space.  We were lucky to find a great spot that was capable to meet our growing production needs, our “Tiny Planet Ink World Headquarters.”

Our prints are 100% handmade 100% of the time.  The screen printing is all done on a manual press meaning we have complete control over the quality of the prints we create.  Every time we pull the squeegee, we closely examine the condition of each print or color to be sure that only finest products are passed along to our customers.  This is something that larger print shops using a fully automated press cannot inherently guarantee.  We have the ultimate quality control.

We have been fortunate to print for some great Denver schools and businesses, and their loyalty has allowed us to grow and move in new directions.  Recently, we have begun to showcase new design work with some of our own original pieces. Be sure to keep an eye out for what we come up with.

Here at Tiny Planet Ink, we really love what we do, and we look forward to all the adventures that are yet to come!
