At WUAMAN, our journey began in June 2019, when Sandra and Edoardo set out to create a brand that honors our Peruvian heritage. Sandra, who comes from a long line of talented artisans, inspired our vision to work with by the rich tradition of alpaca fiber—one of Peru’s most treasured resources. Edoardo, came from a background in sales. From the start, we committed to crafting products that celebrate the artistry and culture of our homeland.

We are proud to collaborate with Sandra’s family and 19 other artisan small businesses in Peru, all dedicated to crafting small-batch, original designs using traditional techniques such as hand embroidery, knitting, loom weaving, and crochet.

At the heart of WUAMAN lies a deep commitment to fair trade practices and sustainability. We believe in supporting the artisans who bring these beautiful products to life, ensuring they receive fair compensation and work in respectful conditions. Our focus on sustainability reflects our desire to protect the environment and preserve the cultural heritage of alpaca fiber for generations to come.

Our name, WUAMAN, is a heartfelt tribute—a variation of Sandra’s maiden name, connecting us deeply to family and Peruvian identity. Every product we offer reflects the care, culture, and craftsmanship that inspired us to start this journey.
